The Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office is “involved in the probe because it’s a death investigation, but it is not considered suspicious,” the Massachusetts Department of Fire Services public information officer Jake Wark tells PEOPLE.
“Investigators believe it was accidental but are still working to determine the exact cause at this time,” Wark adds. “This is clearly a terrible, terrible tragedy. Our thoughts are with the family, their community, and the firefighters who worked so hard at the scene.”
