Four teenage boys were killed in a high-speed early-morning crash near Interstate 95 in North Carolina on Monday.
The victims were identified as driver Alan Lee Lockamy, 17, Freddy Seras, 17, Christopher Wayne Jackson, 17, and Semaj Jejai Williams, 16, a representative for the North Carolina State Highway Patrol told PEOPLE in a statement.
Lockamy and front-seat passenger Seras were trapped in the car, while backseat passengers Jackson and Williams were ejected from the vehicle.

Lockamy’s grandmother, Kathy Lockamy, told local outletWRALthat her grandson “was just a typical 17-year-old teenager” who “had lots of friends, family that all loved him.”
“He wasn’t supposed to be out,” she said. “The last thing I told him before I went to bed was I loved him, and don’t leave the house. He didn’t listen very well.”
