Five flight attendants and one passenger were left injured after an American Airlines flight from Los Angeles to Maui made a hard landing around 2 p.m. local time on Saturday.
The six people who were injured were transported to a local hospital, where they were released. There were 167 passengers on the flight in total, and seven crew members.
On Saturday, theFederal Aviation Administrationannounced it will investigate the hard landing. The FAA shared the plane in question was an Airbus A320.

Flight 271’s hard landing comes less than a month after Alaska Airlines' fleet of Boeing 737-Max 9 aircrafts were pulled from service followinga mid-air blowouton Jan. 5. Alaska Airlines Flight 1282 from Portland, Oregon, to Ontario, California, was forced to make an emergency landing after a plug door near the rear of the aircraft blew out at 16,000 feet, leaving a hole in the side of the plane.
All 177 passengers survived, but the planes were pulled from service until they could be inspected.
Alaska Airlinesresumed operation of their Max 9 planeswith Flight 1146, which flew from Seattle to San Diego on Friday.
