6-Month-Old Ala. Girl Is Killed by Her Father, Who Then Turns Gun on Himself

PEOPLE confirms with officials in Calhoun County that Kahlia Marie Gordon was killed on Sunday, shortly before 1 p.m.

The murder allegedly followed some sort of a domestic dispute, but police are not discussing what led up to the violence.

According to investigators, Kahlia’s father, Trenton Gordon, also shot the girl’s grandfather inside a home in Ohatchee.

A GoFundMe accounthas been established to help cover the burial costs for Kahlia.

WIAT reports that Kahlia’s mother, Christina Gamez,recently filed for a protection from abuse orderfollowing a domestic violence incident that occurred back on Valentine’s Day.

The station claims court documents allege Gordon violated that order on March 29 — just two days before the murder-suicide.
