Al Roker’s granddaughter made a special new friend this holiday season.

TheTodayweatherman, 69, introduced granddaughterSky Clara Laga, 6 months, to his close friend and colleagueHoda Kotb, sharing an adorable photo of their meeting onInstagramTuesday.

In the sweet shot, Kotb, 59, smiles for the camera while cradling Sky, both girls matching in blue denim jackets.

“When Sky met Auntie Hoda,” Roker captioned the fun moment.

Since then, Roker has filled his Instagram with moments and memories he’s shared with his family’s most recent addition.

Last month, Roker and his wife Deborah Roberts caught up with PEOPLE at the Root 100 Gala in New York City, where they opened up about theirholiday plans with their granddaughter.

“I think for us it’s really just family," Deborah added of the family’s Christmas plans. “It’s really all about family and our family is so spread out that we don’t have to gather as much as we’d like to during the year. So this year it really is just about tight-knit.”

TheTodayweatherman shares Courtney, 36, with his first wife, Alice Bell. He also shares daughter Leila, 25, and son Nicholas Albert, 21, with Deborah, 63.

In November, theTodaystar enjoyed hisfirst Thanksgiving with Skyand shared a family snap on Instagram writing “My little Sky’s first@macys#thanksgivingdayparade.”
