Emma Robertsis a proud big sister to her younger sibling, Grace Nickels.

TheAmerican Horror Storyactress’s little sister was born on Jan. 16, 2001, to Roberts’ mother Kelly Cunningham, and her husband, bassist Kelly Nickels, nearly a decade after Cunningham welcomed Roberts with her then-boyfriend Eric Roberts. Despite their 10-year age difference, Roberts and Nickels grew up close to each other.

On Nickels’ 23rd birthday in January 2024, Roberts shared asweet tribute to heron Instagram alongside a photo of the two enjoying drinks.

“happy birthday to the best sister and auntie 🌟,” she wrote. “the day you were born is my favorite day! I love you forever Jeeves 🪩 @ggrace_nickels 💋.”

The same week, Nickels was rumored to be in a relationship with singerDominic Fikeafter she posted a photo of the two kissing.

When Roberts was 16 and Nickels was 6, Roberts turned to her little sister for fashion advice, she told the Associated Press in 2007, perCleveland19 News.

“I’m embarrassed to say I do ask her sometimes when I’m putting on clothes,” she said. “I’ll say, `Is this cute, Grace?’ ”

She added that Nickels wasn’t afraid to share her honest opinion — even if it was a negative one.

“She’ll be like, I don't think I was really a fan of that shirt you were wearing.' I'll say, Thank you for that, Grace,’ ”' Roberts said. “If I want an honest opinion I’ll definitely ask her.”

She had some famous friends when she was little

When Roberts was on the Nickelodeon showUnfabulous, another famous sitcom —Drake & Josh— was airing on the network at the same time. In a throwback both Roberts and Nickels posted on their Instagram accounts in December 2018, the two sistersposed with one of the starsof the show, Miranda Cosgrove.

In her post, Nickels also included apicture of herself with the titular star,Josh Peck, as he threw a toddler-aged Nickels over his shoulder.

They are close with their mom

Both daughters grew up close to Cunningham, who often posts tributes to her daughters on Instagram and shows off their sisterly love. In one post, Cunninghamshowed a screenshot of a text exchangebetween her daughters as Roberts joked to Nickels that their mom was “stalking” her, trying to figure out what she was up to.

“Mom is stalking me about what you’re doing,” she wrote in the messages. “Am I supposed to be saying something.”

Cunningham thought the exchange was sweet, writing in the caption, “When your daughters have each other’s back!!!🤣🤣🤩♥️.”

For her 65th birthday, Cunningham’s daughters both wished her a happy birthday on Instagram, with Cunninghamreposting Nickels’ Instagram Storytribute on her profile.

The girls alsogot her a cakethat was decorated with a photo ofBrad Pittand a text bubble coming from his mouth, reading, “Happy Birthday, Beautiful Kelly.”

She has attended red carpets with Roberts

Nickels also accompanied Roberts in the front row at Coach’s 75th Anniversary: Women’s Pre-Fall and Men’s Fall Show in December 2016.

She is an aunt to Roberts’ son Rhodes

Nickels became an aunt on Dec. 27, 2020, when Roberts’ son Rhodes was born. Since then, she’s been close to her young nephew, cuddling with him in photos. Both Roberts and Cunningham have called her the “best auntie.”

She is passionate about art

Nickels often shares her doodles on Instagram, from creatingabstract colorful imagesto “dudes [she] doodled,” and Roberts is proud to show them off as well.

In December 2016, Robertsposted a videoshowing how Nickels used different colored pens and markers to draw a woman’s face.

“So impressed and jelly of @ggrace_nickels artistic skills,” she wrote in the caption. “Love you sis!”

She has been linked to singer Dominic Fike
