iCarly, Shadow and Bone and How I Met Your Father TV cancelations

While numerous shows made their anticipated return in 2023 —The Summer I Turned PrettyandVirgin River— others hit the chopping block.

Streamers such as Netflix, Max and Disney+ axed several series, while numerous network shows wrapped up their final seasons.

As with 2022, this year included quite a few shocking cancelations. The Grishaverse came to an end on Netflix as the streaming announcedShadow and Bonewould not be returningfor season 3 and the previously announcedSix of Crowsspinoff was scrapped.

Meanwhile, fans were up in arms afterParamount+’s iCarly reboot was canceledfollowing a major cliffhanger. Similarly, theHow I Met Your MotherspinoffHow I Met Your Fatherended before revealing who the father of Hilary Duff’s character’s kid was.

The bright side? Plenty of new shows are set to premiere in 2024, from Marvel’sEchoto Netflix’sGriselda.
