“I’m trapped in the fire. It’s all around me. I love you,” she told them,according to theLos Angeles Times, which recounted her harrowing story of near-death.
“You don’t understand. I’m not going to make it,” Ferguson, a 42-year-old nurse, told her kids, theTimesreports.
“I was the best mother I could be,” she said. “I’m sorry for the mistakes I made. I’m so sorry.”
According to theTimes, this is how Ferguson had become trapped: A nurse at Feather River Hospital in Paradise, California, she had stayed for some 45 minutes to assist in the evacuationof dozens of patients.

Jen Shahwill attend mental health treatment after serving time in prison.
TheReal Housewives of Salt Lake Citystar — who wassentenced to 6.5 years in prisonfor fraud related to a telemarketing scheme — has been ordered to attend mental health services upon her release, according to court documents.
A judge also ordered Shah to continue her mental health medication upon her release from prison. Shah’s probation officer will be in charge of approving her mental health treatment center.

A fox was captured on the grounds of the U.S. Capitol on Tuesday — but not before it apparently ran wild, getting into altercations with other animals and even nipping a lawmaker.
For at least a couple of hours, the fox on the loose — officials believe there was only one involved — was the big story for political reporters, some of whom asked about the animal while lawmakers departed televised press conferences.
