The author of a newly releasedAaliyahbiography is shooting down claims from the star’s mother that she promoted her book at the cemetery where the late singer is buried.
“I did not promote my book outside of Aaliyah’s gravesite. That is offensive to even suggest. I have been told that fans have had my book there with them,” Iandoli wrote. “Please no longer bring my book to Ferncliff. Apologies that fans can not visit Aaliyah’s resting place.

As the18th anniversary of her death approaches,Aaliyahis being memorialized with a wax figure at Madame Tussauds. The late singer’s brother Rashad Haughton was on hand Wednesday as the likeness was unveiled in Las Vegas.
Clad in leather pants and metallic bra, the figure is a nod to Aaliyah’s iconic “Try Again” music video from 2000.
In an interview withVibe, Haughton revealed that he played a major role in the figure’s creation and design.

Aaliyah’s estate has provided an update as to when fans can expect to find the late R&B singer’s catalog of music available on streaming services.
On Saturday — which would have been Aaliyah’s 42nd birthday — the singer’s estate shared a message onsocial mediaexplaining that while they understand the “frustration” from fans, it will ultimately “take time” to release Aaliyah’s music.
