Nick and Catie Hague, and their two sons, ages 11 and 7, are gearing up for the ultimate military move as Nick prepares to blast off into space. In October, Colonel Nick Hague, an astronautical engineer in Houston, will depart for the cosmos inside a Russian rocket launched from Kazakhstan, to live for six months aboard the International Space Station.

Air Force General Apologizes After 3 Pets Die on Flights Arranged for Military Families

Mike Minihan, commander of the military branch’s Air Mobility Command unit, shared astatement on Twitteraffirming his commitment to pet owners who use the Air Force’s Patriot Express flights to safely move their pets. In the past two weeks, three pets have died on Patriot Express flights, which Minihan called “unacceptable” in the statement. “AMC is reviewing every aspect of Patriot Express pet travel, including equities beyond our responsibility, to further strengthen pet safety,” Minihan said in the statement.

Bexar County Sheriff’s Office investigators allege Andre McDonald, 40, tried to hide Andreen McDonald’s body with the remains of a dead cow. At a news conference Saturday, Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar said Andreen’s eight-year-old autistic daughter may have witnessed her mother’s death.

Air Force Reserve Pilot Who Was Disqualified for Health Condition Returns To Flying 2 Years Later

An Air Force Reserve pilot who was prevented from serving due to a health condition is now getting his second chance to fly. Lt. Col. Josh Nelson was disqualified from the Air Force in late 2017 after being diagnosed with ulcerative colitis, CBS affiliateWCCOreported. “Out of nowhere, with no family history or any background on it whatsoever, I was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis, which falls underneath the umbrella of inflammatory bowel disease,” Nelson told the outlet.
