Inan interview with the Federal Aviation Administrationpublished on Medium, Robert Morgan — a certified flight instructor working at the Palm Beach air traffic facility — spoke out about the headline-making incident, revealing that despite the heightened nature of the experience, it was ultimately business as usual.

Air travel volume boomed over Memorial Day Weekend to the highest numbers since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic last year.
In total, 7.1 million people passed through airport security during the holiday weekend.
Air travel this past weekend was up nearly 450 percent from the 2020 numbers for Memorial Day Weekend, which saw a total of 1.3 million people and an average of 52,947 people travel through the airport that weekend, according to TSA data.

Travelers are taking to the skies again.
On Friday, theTransportation Security Administration (TSA)said its agents screened more than 1.3 million passengers at airport security checkpoints across the nation.
TSA spokesperson Lisa Farbstein shared a statement that the last time the number was that high was almost a year ago.
“@TSA officers screened 1,357,111 people at airport security checkpoints yesterday, Friday, March 12,” Farbstein wrote in herstatement.

Elizabeth Hirschhorn, who was referred to as a “tenant from hell,” apparently departed the Los Angeles guesthouse she had allegedly been staying at for 575 days, reportedly “rent-free,” on Friday.
The landlord, Sascha Jovanovicmet Hirschhornin September 2021, according toThe Los Angeles Times. The renter, 55, found the residence’s guest house through Airbnb, according to the landlord, and was supposed to stay for only six months.

Airbnbhas released a new set of guidelines to keep the home-sharing platform’s guests and hosts safe as people begin to make plans for summer vacations.
On Monday, the vacation rental company launched the"Summer of Responsible Travel" plan which includes new restrictions on parties and enforces ongoing COVID-19 safety practices.
Under the guidelines, Airbnb announced “tough new rules to ban parties and help prevent events that may disturb neighbors.”
