A little surgery can’t keepAl Rokeraway from theTodayshowdesk!
The weatherman and anchorsaid Tuesday that he’s “feeling great” after undergoing “emergency carpal tunnel surgery” on Monday to fix a thumb issue that came up during rehearsalsfor his Broadway debut inWaitress.
“It had just gotten progressively worse to the point where Thursday, I lost use of my thumb during rehearsals,”Roker said onToday.
He set up the surgery the next day, and then went under the knife on Monday, with a general anesthetic.

Al Rokerwill be missing from theTodayshow as he recovers from another major surgery.
On Tuesday, the beloved morning show weatherman, 68, had knee replacement surgery. He shared the news on Saturday in an Instagram video of himself during a walk in Central Park, telling followers that walking has been difficult for him lately.
“I’m a little less than three days away from getting this left knee replaced,” he said in the clip.
