An Alabama woman who was attending college with dreams of pursuing a career in graphics and design was found murdered in her apartment over the weekend, according to police.
Madison Shea Pilkington, 25, of Hoover, was found dead Saturday inside her apartment at The Halston, the Hoover Police Department said in a statement Sunday.
Pilkington’s family became concerned when they learned she failed to show up at work Friday at Baumhower’s Victory Grille in Vestavia Hills,AL.

Alabama Gov. Kay Ivey signed off on a bill Friday afternoon thatmakes it a felony for parents or doctors to provide gender-affirming care to transgender kids.
Alabama’s House of Representatives voted 66-28 in favor of the law Thursday afternoon before sending it to Ivey’s desk, and she quickly signed off on it the next day.
“There are very real challenges facing our young people, especially with today’s societal pressures and modern culture,” Ivey said in a statement.
