Officers were called to a residence in Foley about a domestic incident around 10 p.m. Saturday night.
The caller identified Scott Blackwell as the suspect, and said he was armed and acting strange, according to the Baldwin County Sheriff’s office.
According to the sheriff’s office, shortly after the call, Blackwell “became physically violent” toward his wife, Cindy.
Blackwell allegedly shot his wife and then another family member shot him.

An 80-year-old Alabama man was arrested this week after authorities allege he killed his parents nearly 50 years ago in Tennessee.
On Monday, a Tennessee grand jury indicted Michael Keith Fine on two counts of first-degree murder in connection with the 1977 deaths of his parents, Helen D. Fine and Maynard H. Fine, according to astatementfrom the Maryville Police Department.

An Alabama woman was arrested Friday in connection with the shooting death of her seven-year-old son.
Shannon Renee Karr is facing a capital murder charge in the death of her son, who was shot at their home in Moulton, near Huntsville,WAFFreported.
Lawrence County Coroner Scott Norwood tells PEOPLE the boy was shot twice at close range with a handgun.
Neighbors were shocked when they heard about the death of the boy.

An Alabama mother has been arrested for allegedly murdering her two young sons in what the sheriff has called an act of pure “evil.”
The woman is currently hospitalized and listed incritical condition from apparent self-inflicted wounds, AL.com reports.
The alleged murders came to light on Saturday at 2:30 p.m., when deputies from the Cullman County Sheriff’s Office responded to a 911 calland found two boys murdered at their home near Baileyton, Cullman County Sheriff Matt Gentry told reporters that night,The Cullman Tribunereports.
