A flight across California had to return to the airport on Sunday when a faulty caution sensor went off in the cockpit mid-flight.
Lane said that shortly after Flight 3467 departed San Jose at 4:53 p.m. local time, a caution light illuminated in the cockpit, indicating a faulty sensor had been found.
Due to the safety protocol, the captain decided to turn the flight around, Lane said. No door had been reported open and there was never an issue with the aircraft door, he added.

Alaska Airlines says it has created a coffee that tastes better in the air.
The airline has brewed up a new partnership with the Portland-based Stumptown Coffee, and claims it has created a custom blend that’s resistant to the effects of high altitude onboard a plane that make food and beverages taste different, perCNN.
The release added that Stumptown has created a “blend that’s fit for the skies” using the same “clean and sweet base” as its Holler Mountain blend, “but with a focus on a roast that mellows acidity and introduces just enough toastiness to please a wide range of palates.

Want to board your holiday flight early this year? Break out a festive sweater!
Alaska Airlinesannouncedthat they would offer priority boarding to any passengers wearing a holiday sweater, meaning anyone sporting festive gear can get on their flight early. The only catch? The offer is only available on one day — National Ugly Sweater Day, on Dec. 20.
“We knowholiday travel can be stressfulfor some, which is why we’ve made sure flying with the ‘merrier carrier’ this time of year is an experience that brings nonstop joy to all our guests,” Natalie Bowman, Alaska Airlines’ managing director of marketing and advertising said in a press release.
