“It’s official!! It’s happeningThe Great British Bake Off! Let’s have it,” Hammond shared alongside a Twitter video of her interviewing herself and her costars in cake form. “The cake that is 🤣. So excited.”
“So yes it’s breaking news, Alison Hammond is joining the team ofThe Great British Bake Off,” she said in the tongue-in-cheek video.

On Wednesday, the cookbook author revealed in a lengthyInstagrampost that she would not be heading back toNYT Cooking.The news comes seven months after her column was placed on a hiatus following herdramawithChrissy Teigen. (TheTimestold People in late May that “it was always the plan for Alison’s leave to be temporary.")
In the post, Roman, 35, first expressed her appreciation after her Caramelized Shallot Pasta recipe scored the top slot in theTimes “Most Popular Recipes of 2020"list, published Sunday.

Alison Romanhas tied the knot!
The Brooklyn-based chef shared a cheeky postto Instagramto announce the two’s wedding, hours before the start of the ceremony.
“To anyone thinking of sliding into the DMs, do it! You could end up getting married,” Roman advised in the caption before revealing, “not to me, I’m now married.

Alison Roman’s journey to television has had some bumps in the road.
In January 2022, the cookbook authorannounced that she was working on a cooking show with CNN+. Unfortunately, the unnamed series has been indefinitely postponed afterCNN canceled many of their original programming— a decision which also haltedStanley Tucci’s food and travel show,Stanley Tucci: Searching for Italy.
While the celebrity chef has “faith that it’ll see the light of day one day,” that doesn’t mean she isn’t upset about the delay.
