DisgracedSmallvilleactress Allison Mack is behind the bars of a federal prison cell this morning, where she has begun serving her 3-year sentence for racketeering and conspiracy — crimes stemming from the instrumental role she played in the Nxivm sex cult.
Online records confirm that Mack, 39, has been in the custody of the Federal Correctional Institution in Dublin, Calif., since Monday.
Mack was initially expected to report to the prison on Sept.

Lawyers forthe six defendants facing federal sex trafficking, forced labor, and racketeering chargesfor their alleged leadership roles in long-running controversial self-help group Nxivm have filed motions seeking a dismissal of all the criminal counts.
A motion from Nxivm founder Keith Raniere’s attorneys describes Nxivm — which at least one former member has described as a “cult” — as a “wonderful humanitarian organization” that is “dedicated to achieving peace on a global scale.
