Allyson Felix has a precious cheerleader back in the U.S.
On Wednesday, the decorated track and field athlete, 35, shared a video of her 2½-year-old daughter Cammy watching a highlight reel of her competitions on television. In addition, Felix shared why she is competing in her first Olympics as a mom.
Felix added, “My why is clear and unchanging. Swipe to see her watching mommy.”

Allyson Felixis recalling a “traumatic” moment after she gave birth to her daughter.
On Thursday’s episode of PEOPLE’s podcastMe Becoming Mom, the 36-year-old athlete opens up about the difficult delivery of her daughter Camryn, now 3, during which Felix had an emergency cesarean section at 32 weeks pregnant.
Recounting the nerve-racking experience, Felix says her husband Kenneth Ferguson was able to go with her into the operating room where the couple had a “moment of prayer.

Felix, 35, won bronze in the women’s 400m in Tokyo on Friday night, becoming the most decorated female track and field athlete ever. That medal count, including six golds and three silvers stretching back to 2004, also ties Carl Lewis as the most decorated American.
It was a successunlike any other in Felix’s career, she told reporters earlier this week.
“It was a fight to get here. When I was younger, I never really thought about making a final,” she said Wednesday after qualifying for Friday’s final.

Allyson Felixjust proved the naysayers wrong, again.
On Saturday night, Felix competed in what she has said was the final race of herOlympiccareer, the4x400m women’s relay. She and teammates Sydney McLaughlin, Dalilah Muhammad and Athing Mu won gold — Felix’s 11th Olympic medal, further solidifying her as the most decorated female in U.S. track and field history one day after securing her 10th medal, the initialhistory-making accomplishment.
Felix, 35, has said it was a battle returning to the Olympic stage and that she had critics who said she’d never be able to perform at an elite level again after welcoming daughter Camryn, now 2, in 2018.
