On Sunday, the actress, 33, announced that she’s been sober “a year and two months” in an Instagram post. She accompanied the message with two photos of her and two unidentified men.
Bynes committed to getting her life on track in 2019 after months of struggles that followed her decision to step back into the public eye. A year after seeking treatment, a source tells PEOPLE she is staying in a sober living facility.

The actress, who retreated from the public eye after a breakdown in 2014, checked into a rehab facility in January. A source close to Bynes tells PEOPLE that she had a “relapse” and is getting help and treatment from mental health professionals and addiction counselors for drug addiction and mental health issues.
The source says Bynes has been struggling again since the end of last year, when she stepped back into the public eye and began pursuing work in Hollywood again.

On Wednesday, the actress-turned-fashion student — whoseconservatorship was terminatedlast month — dropped a new song, “Diamonds,” with her fiancé Paul Michael.
“DIAMONDS on Apple Music, Spotify, Amazon music and itunes! search DIAMONDS Amanda Bynes Paul Michael,” she captioned a clip of the track on her Instagram account.
According to her lawyer David A. Esquibias, the rap song was recorded in early 2020. PEOPLE confirms the track has received 40,000 downloads on Spotify.
