The 35-year-oldEasy Aactress' lawyer David A. Esquibias tells PEOPLE exclusively, “Amanda wishes to terminate her conservatorship. She believes her condition is improved and protection of the court is no longer necessary.“Page Sixwas first to report the news.
Bynes’s mother Lynn was granted temporary conservatorship over her daughter in August 2013 after the actress allegedlyset fire to a driveway. Lynn regained conservatorship of the star in October 2014.

Amanda Bynesis focusing on herself as she continues to get treatment afterchecking herself into a rehab facilityin January.
“Amanda is doing great, working on herself, and taking some well-deserved time off to focus on her wellbeing aftergraduating FIDM[Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising] in December,” Tamar Arminak, her family’s attorney, tells PEOPLE.
“She’s spending time reading and exercising, sketching for her new line and mostly making sure this time around she puts her needs first,” the attorney adds.
