It will plant itself in Long Island City and National Landing.The company will pour $5 billion into opening up 50,000 jobs in N.Y.C. and Virginia. Amazon considered 238 destinations as possibilities for its headquarters,The Wall Street Journalreported.

Jeff Bezosannounced in a tweet on Wednesday that he and his wife MacKenzie aredivorcing after 25 years of marriage.
Jeff, the 54-year-old founder and CEO of Amazon, revealed on Twitter that he and MacKenzie, 48, have decided to continue their “shared lives as friends.”

Jeff Bezos has found a new place to call home for $165 million, PEOPLE confirms.
The billionaire Amazon CEO, who is currently the richest man in the world, has purchased the home of music mogul David Geffen in Beverly Hills. A private broker handled the deal.
Rumors had been floating for several weeks that Bezos was shopping for a new L.A. area home in the $100-million-plus range.
