American-Born Woman in Spain Is World's Oldest Person at 115: 'Very Old, But Not an Idiot'

María Branyas Morera, who was born in San Francisco in 1907 and lives in Catalonia, Spain, says she attributes her longevity to “an orderly life that is socially very pleasant,“according to Guinness World Records. “I think longevity is also about being lucky,” she added. “Luck and good genetics.” Morera also has a sassy way of describing herselfon Twitter— “I’m old, very old, but not an idiot,” reads her bio — where she tweets her thoughts in Catalan with her daughter’s help, according to Guinness.

Americans Admit They'd Have 'No Motivation' to Workout If They Couldn't Listen to Music: Survey

Photo: SWNS The survey of 2,000 Americans who exercise regularly identified the top 50 songs that respondents use as the soundtrack to their workouts. Hip-hop (14 percent), pop (10 percent) and a “little bit of everything” (10 percent) topped respondents' favorite genres to exercise to. Sixty-five percent of respondents, moreover, said they’d have “no motivation” to exercise without their workout music of choice. Survey respondents were also posed a hypothetical: if they could only workout to the music of one artist for the rest of their life, who would it be?

Americans Admittedly Don't Have Much Knowledge About How Sleep Affects Their Health, Survey Finds

That’s unsurprising given the fact that in a new survey of 2,000 Americans, on average, people reported not going to bed until a full two hours after when they feel like they should. The study also demonstrated that nearly 28% of respondents believe the amount of sleep you need remains constant regardless of your age.

Americans Are Feeling Totally Drained by Cooking After Past Year, Survey Finds

A survey of 2,000 Americans uncovered how their relationship with cooking has evolved since early 2020, finding that people want to spend less than 25 minutes on a meal, from prep to ready time. Still, many people take about an hour to prepare one meal.
