The unnamed victim was found last Friday around 11:45 a.m. near Excalaber Court outside of Myrtle Beach, after Horry County Fire Rescue responded to a water rescue call. “Upon arrival, units determined that an alligator took hold of a neighbor who was near the edge of a retention pond and retreated into the retention pond,” the Horry County Police Department posted onFacebook.

Emergency responders arrived at the restaurant on Thursday evening just after 5:30 p.m. after receiving a report of a “sick individual and a potential chemical release,” interim Burlington Fire Chief Michael Pattersontold reporters. According to Patterson, the employee had been exposed to “a strong cleaning agent” while cleaning the floor of the restaurant.

Officers discovered a deceased male after they responded to a report of a traffic collision with “severe injuries” on Friday at around 7:45 p.m., according to anews releasefrom Pomona Police Department (PPD). Los Angeles County coroner’s officeidentified the deceasedas Gilberto Cazares Payan, ABC7 reported. His goddaughter told the outlet that Payan was a father of four and was picking up dinner from the taco stand when the crash happened.
