Among its seven nods on Tuesday,Abbottscored nominations for outstanding comedy series, outstanding lead actress in a comedy series for Brunson (who also scored a writing nomination for the pilot), outstanding supporting actor in a comedy series forTyler James Williamsand outstanding supporting actor in a comedy series forSheryl Lee Ralphand Janelle James.

Quinta Brunsonproved that she doesn’t need any lessons when it comes to red carpet style at the74th Primetime Emmy Awards.
TheEmmy nominatedAbbott Elementarycreator and star, 32, walked the gold carpet wearing a stunning custom Dolce & Gabbana brown metallic gown with Jared Lehr rings and earrings. She completed the look with her hair styled in loose waves and a simple nude lip.
During an interview onE!’s Live From the Red Carpet, Brunson opened up about the inspiration for the look.

With exactly a month to go,Sheryl Lee Ralphhas no idea what she’ll be wearing to theEmmy Awards, she revealed on Friday’s episode ofthePEOPLE Every Daypodcastwith host Janine Rubenstein.
“I don’t even have a pair of shoes,” theAbbott Elementarystar, 65, tells Rubenstein. “I need to get it together.”
That’s not to say she’s not taking it seriously, though; she and her daughter Ivy-Victoria Maurice are starting to strategize.
