A friend told officers that Anna claimed to have forgotten something and walked the opposite the direction of her home. Another friend told police they spotted Anna, without her backpack, walking in the area of the school bus stop, around 7:30 p.m., the station reports.

The Plainfield Police Departmentsaid in a news releasethat the incident included two different crashes around 8:30 p.m. local time near Route 59 and Riverwalk Court.
The first collision occurred when a 2009 Nissan Rogue came to a stop sign after turning left off Riverwalk Court to proceed northbound on Route 59, according to police. The Nissan failed to yield to a 2004 Toyota Rav4 traveling southbound on Route 59 and was hit on the driver’s side.

A 12-year-old girl has disappeared after she was heading to a birthday party in Texas, according to authorities.
According to a missing persons flyer shared on its Facebook page, theIrving Police Departmentsaid Alison Ramirez-Lopez was last seen on Sunday, Feb. 9, at the 1000 block of Harlan Street.
At the time of the initial announcement, the Irving Police said it was activating an AMBER (ATHENA) alert over Alison’s disappearance.

A girl took extreme measures to save her precious guinea pig, fighting off a snake that tried to eat the pet rodent.
Australian radio host Kip Wightmanshared a video on social mediaof his niece, Rosie, protecting her guinea pig in her backyard from a giant reptile, which went viral online with over 8,800 views.
The girl courageously bends down, grabs hold of the snake’s tail, and, to save her guinea pig, begins whirling the reptile in a circle in an attempt to get the snake to drop her pet.

A missing 12-year-old girl who is the subject of an Amber Alert in the Houston area might be a victim of trafficking, according to multiple reports.
Eminie Hughes has been missing since Feb. 22, according to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. She was last seen getting into a dark colored four-door Dodge pickup and was wearing a white crop top and pink joggers.
