The parents of a diabetic child whose insulin was withdrawn due to their belief that God would heal her have been sentenced in Australia.
According to theAustralian Broadcasting Corporation(ABC) andThe Sydney Morning Herald,Jason Struhs, 53, and Kerrie Struhs, 49, were sentenced on Wednesday, Feb. 26, to more than 14 years each in prison for manslaughter after their 8-year-olddaughter Elizabeth Struhsdied from diabetic ketoacidosis in 2022.

At least 14 people have reportedly been killed in a mass shooting in downtown Prague in the Czech Republic, according to initial reports fromThe Associated Press,TheNewYorkTimesandReuters.
More than 20 people were wounded in the shooting, the AP reports. Reuters reports the shooter was 24 years old and that the killing began shortly after 3 p.m. local time.
Czech police said the shooter is believed to be a student and that he killed his father before the shooting began, Reuters also reports.

Three children, including a 3-year-old boy, an 11-year-old girl and a 13-year-old boy, were among those taken to area hospitals at about 9:30 p.m. added the police, per theChicago Sun-Times.

A dark-colored SUV then began “randomly shooting into the crowd,” Superintendent David Brown, of the Chicago Police Department, told reporters.

A 14-year-old boy has died after eating poisonous berries during a walk in the park, a UK inquest into his death has heard.
According to the officialreport, Benn Curran-Nicholls, 14, who had “severe autism with intellectual impairment," would routinely take morning walks through a local park for exercise.
On the morning of Sept. 18, 2022, Curran-Nicholls was with his father walking through Fletcher Moss Park in Manchester when he stopped at a yew tree he frequently liked to climb.
