Two people were killed and at least five others were injured in a shooting at a park in the San Pedro neighborhood of Los Angeles over the weekend.
Two of those victims, one male and one female, were transported to the hospital in critical condition, the LAFD said.
The Los Angeles Police Department shut down the entire park for the rest of Sunday as it investigated the incident, according toCBS News.

The New York Timesreportedthat each of the men — Simon Paul of St. Ignatius, Mont., and Travis John Branson of Cusick, Wash. — were indicted in Montana on Thursday on one count of conspiracy, 13 counts of unlawful trafficking and one count of violating the Lacey Act.
The Lacey Act is a federal law that combats the trafficking of wildlife illegally removed from nature, according to theU.S. Department of Agriculture.

Two men are accused of swindling an elderly Florida man out of large amounts of money before killing him and dismembering his body, according to a Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Officepress release.
Joseph Romano, 71, was reported missing on January 16. Police later realized that a man named Joseph Schiliro, 45, was trying to pick up Romano’s mail from the apartment complex where he lived, per the release.

Two men who were reported missing at sea this weekend have been found safe on their boat off the coast of Delaware.
The victims were last seen on Dec. 3 as they left Oregon Inlet, N.C., on their boat,previously identified asa 30-ft. Catalina sailboat namedAtrevida II. They were traveling from Cape May, N.J., to Marathon, Fla., when they disappeared.
The Coast Guard’s Fifth District was informed that Hyde and Ditomasso were overdue on Sunday, a week after they were last seen.

Two men were arrested in England after allegedly destroying a beloved Paddington Bear statue, authorities said.
Police alleged the men cut and stole the front part of the statue of the popular children’s book character from Northbrook Street in Newbury, England, around 2 a.m. on Sunday, March 2.
The theft left the hollow backside of the statue behind on the bench.
Both men were released on conditional bail and are expected to appear in Reading Magistrates’ Court on March 25, per the release.
