Lucy-Anne Rushton, 30, of Andover, Hampshire, was killed in June 2019 from injuries she sustained when her estranged husband, Shaun Dyson, 28, kicked and stomped on her at her home, according to theBBC.
In Dec. 2019, Dyson pleaded guilty in Winchester Crown Court to murdering Rushton, 30, the BBC reports. He was sentenced to life in prison with a minimum of 17 years, according to a statement fromHampshire Police.

Two police officers and a firefighter are dead, and other officers were injured, after responding to a domestic call in the Minneapolis suburb of Burnsville on Sunday, the governor of Minnesota said.
“We received horrific news from Burnsville this morning,” Governor Tim Walz wrote ina statement. “While responding to a call of a family in danger, two police officers and one firefighter lost their lives, and other officers were injured.

Two people were rescued Wednesday after the car they were in careened down a steep embankment amid “rainy conditions” in California.
Despite the hill’s steep incline, crews were able to remove the two victims from the crash site at Glen Canyon Park. However, they had to clear away brush in order to do so, according to theStandard.
