A 22-year-old man from Missouri died this week while on a hike in an unmarked area of Badlands National Park in South Dakota, police said.
“He was being observed for exposure and dehydration due to the hot weather and lack of water,” they continued.
Temperatures at Badlands National Park neared 100 degrees for most of the week, theSt. Louis Post Dispatchreported.
In the release, the sheriff’s office said the two men had been hiking along an unmarked trail that has allegedly been the focus of a social media challenge.

A group of people who were with the fisherman pulled him out of the water and attempted to revive him, but to no avail, according toYahoo! News Australia.
Numerous fishermen helped bring the victim’s body back to a dock in Yavaros, a fishing port in Sonora,the Civil Protection Unit said.

A Texas community stepped up to help two brothers with much-needed renovations to their Katy home.
“At one point, I was just done with the house,” Jaylan said, according to the news station. “I was ready to sell it at one point. It was too much weight on my shoulders. I couldn’t do it.”
Katy Responds, an organization that assists Texas families after disasters, contacted the brothers and said they would repair the home with the help of kind-hearted volunteers.
