However, two hours later, the mom from Witham, England (around 50 miles northeast of London) began to feel unwell and asked the hospital staff, “Am I bleeding?” On Dec. 13, 2024, acoroner’s reportconcluded that “basic failures” to escalate her concerns led to her death from a “massive peritoneal hemorrhage” — just two days after giving birth.
