Seven people, including five children, were killed in a two-car crash early Sunday morning in Northern Illinois.
Both vehicles were “fully engulfed” in flames after a wrong-way driver caused the head-on collision around 2 a.m. local time on Interstate 90 in McHenry County, according to a statement from Illinois State Police.
The confirmed fatalities include one woman in the first car, as well as one woman and five children in the second.

According to astatementfrom the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW), officers received a report of a “human-cougar incident with documented injuries” in King County on Saturday afternoon.
The WDFW said the woman was hospitalized to be treated for her injuries and she is in a “stable condition.”
“I hope that she will recover. She will be fine. I am hearing that it is not life-threatening,” Sgt.

Five passengers have died after a small plane crashed onto a Nashville highway and burst into flames on Monday evening.
The single-engine plane crashed off the eastbound lanes of Nashville’s Interstate 40 just past the Charlotte Pk exit, the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department shared inupdatesposted on X (formerly Twitter).
