Six people, including two children, are dead after a person driving a pickup truck the wrong way on a Mississippi highway collided with a car.
The truck, which was carrying only the driver, collided with a Hyundai Sonata headed north near Daniel Lake Boulevard. The Hyundai was carrying one driver and four passengers, all of whom died in the collision.
Jackson police, the American Medical Response and the Hinds County Coroner’s Officer were all dispatched to the scene, but both drivers and all four of the passengers in the Hyundai were pronounced dead at the scene.

Six people in their twenties died following a “devastating overnight crash” in Lincoln, Nebraska, according to police.
The Lincoln Police Department responded to a 911 call around 2:16 a.m. on Sunday alerting them to the crash, police said in anews release. They received the alert from one of the victim’s iPhones, which sent over an automatic recording indicating that “the owner of the phone was in a severe crash and was not responding to their phone.

A fire in California left six people injured on Saturday, Feb. 1.
On Saturday, Feb. 1, a fire at the Martinez Refining Company in Martinez, Calif. left six people injured, according to astatementfrom the company.
The incident also caused The City of Martinez to issue a public health advisory for those in the city and surrounding areas.

At least six people are unaccounted for and presumed dead after a Pennsylvania home went up in flames and two police officers responding to the scene were shot.
The veteran officers were later identified as 54-year-old David Schiazza of the Lansdowne Police Department and 44-year-old John Meehan of the East Lansdowne Police Department, authorities said, according to 6ABC, theAssociated PressandCBS News. Both are expected to recover.

At some point after that, the home was “set on fire,” Stollsteimer said, noting that it remains unclear as to who was responsible for igniting the fire, as well as who the shooter was and how many people were inside the home.

Withsix members of a construction crew still missingas of Tuesday afternoon, a number of officials, including Maryland Gov. Wes Moore, NTSB chair Jennifer Homendy and Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg, said that finding the missing individuals is their top focus.
“This is very much still a search and rescue mission, we are still actively looking for survivors we know, and that’s the pledge we’ve made to the families,” Moore said.
