There’s something strange sticking out of the sand on a Florida beach — and officials are trying to figure out what it is.
“It is a mystery,” Malphurs said, according to theTimes' report.

A former teacher in Texas is facing a murder charge after he allegedly beat an elderly military veteran to death over a parking spot dispute.
Earl Hollins, 80, “suffered a severe head injury” during the altercation outside a grocery store in Houston on Friday, Dec. 6,Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalezsaid in a statement at the time.
On Sunday, Gonzalezannouncedthey had identified 57-year-old Anthony Ray Boyce as the suspect in Hollins’ attack.

A Georgia woman has been charged with involuntary manslaughter after cops say that her three dogs mauled her 80-year-old mother to death.
Officers responded to a 911 call and arrived at the family’s home in Troup County, Ga., on the evening of October 7. When they arrived, they found Rosetta Gesselman on the floor of the home. She was wounded and bleeding. There were three large dogs who ran out a “doggie door” into the backyard.

The documents filed on Tuesday, Dec. 10 in St. Louis County alleged that Walker had purchased the Sleep Number bed, which had a 25-year warranty, in Brentwood, Missouri on Oct. 19, 2014.
Almost 10 years later, on March 1, 2023, Walker became trapped in her Godfrey, Illinois home with the bed’s “adjustable foundation in a raised position,” per the suit.

The Smokehouse Creek Fire, which is now the largest wildfire in Texas history, has claimed the life of a 83-year-old grandmother.
The grandmother and former substitute teacher lived in an area where the fire started on Monday afternoon, per KVII. She is the first and only confirmed fatality so far.
According to the outlets, the current wildfire has eclipsed 2006’s East Amarillo Complex Fire, which burned 907,245 acres.
