Taylor Tarantino’s 93-year-old grandmother has always been her biggest fan.
Ever since Tarantino, a former dancer for the Los Angeles Clippers, can remember, her grandmother, June Givler, has been there to support her. She tells PEOPLE that Givler attended every dance recital, choir performance and birthday party when she was growing up.
“I admire her for her strong-willed attitude that she somehow perfectly blends with a soft and delicate grandma touch,” says Tarantino, now an account coordinator for a food and drink digital media company.

A 94-year-old man was killed in a hit-and-run incident on Thursday outside the Kansas cancer treatment center where he worked, authorities said.

A Kentucky woman who lost her home in a flood died at the age of 97 “of a broken heart,” her granddaughter said.
Mae Amburgey died on Saturday, Oct. 8, Missy Amburgey-Crovettitold theLexington Herald-Leader.
Her death comes months after Amburgey was forced to leave her home on Highway 119 as waters poured duringa historic floodin July. The natural disaster claimed the lives of at least 37 people, including four children.
