A bronze medal from the2024 Paris Olympicsis up for sale.
The hardware was put up onRR Auction’s websitein the first week of the new year as part of the auction house’s Olympic memorabilia.
As of Monday, Jan. 6, there are 16 bids on the bronze with the most recent one at $22,987. The auction will end on Jan. 16.

The bottom of the medal features an inscription with the name of the women’s wrestling event in French, and includes the original dark blue silk ribbon attached to the hardware.

The circumstances surrounding the deaths ofGene Hackmanand his wifeBetsycontinue to mystify the public.
The longtime couple wasfound deadin their Santa Fe, N.M., home on Feb. 26. Although the causes of death has yet to be determined, police are investigating what happened to Gene, 95, who was discovered in the home’s mudroom, and Betsy, 65, who was found dead in the bathroom, where prescription pills were scattered on a counter.

Jesse Kirk, 72, went missing on the morning of Tuesday, March 4, from Titusville, Fla., in what authorities say is a “highly suspicious” case,FOX 35,Spectrum News 13andWESHreported.
Her friend reported her missing around 9 a.m. that morning when she did not show up for their routine walk, the outlets reported.
David Armstrong Barber, 35, a former deputy with Brevard County, was also charged on Wednesday with grand theft of a motor vehicle, per the court records.

Joseph O’Donnell, whosewebsitecalls him a “passionate collector of Beatles and music memorabilia,” reportedly paid an undisclosed sum for the bread, which has been kept for the last few decades in a scrapbook and was previously auctioned off in 1991.
“It’s a brilliant story that is both bizarre, historical and a story I’ll continue telling friends, memorabilia collectors and fellow Beatles fans,” O’Donnell told theDaily Express.

Underwater explorers were looking for shipwrecks when they found something very unexpected: a 20-foot segment of the1986 Space Shuttle Challenger, the History Channel revealed on Thursday.
The team of explorers was filming the new seriesThe Bermuda Triangle: Into Cursed Watersfor the History Channel when they discovered the wreckage, according to a statement. It’s the first major discovery of wreckage from the shuttle launch in more than twenty-five years.
