British actor Adam Pearson is speaking out about the stereotypical roles that are usually offered to actors with disabilities.
TheA Different Manstar, 39, recently spoke toVarietyabout how these roles typically come across as inauthentic on screen.
“Normally there are three kinds of roles or tropes or stereotypes, whatever vernacular one wants to use,” he explained. “There’s either the villain — that because I have a disfigurement, I want to kill Batman or James Bond.

Adam Sandler, Jackie Sandler and their daughters are set to star in a bat mitzvah-themed movie at Netflix.
The streaming service and production company is adapting author Fiona Rosenbloom’s 2005 novelYou Are So Not Invited To My Bat Mitzvah!into a feature film,Varietyreported Wednesday. Sandler, 55, will both star in the film alongside Jackie, 47, and his daughters Sunny, 13, and Sadie, 16, and produce the movie through his company Happy Madison.
