Shawny Smith was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of brain cancer just three weeks ago — and the 10-year-old boy from Tiverton, Rhode Island got to thinking about his wishes.
Soon,Super Shawny’s BucketListwas created on GoFundMe, listing activities and trips that would allow Shawny to accomplish as much as possible in the coming weeks and months.
“It was just the best,” Shawny tells PEOPLE of his visit. “Amazing.”

As part of an investigation into her death, authorities are reviewing her social media interactions amid claims that there were “some rumors” of bullying.
“Obviously, it’s not often that you get a 10-year-old that, at this point, appears to be a suicide,” Bertagna says. “There were some rumors of bullying. We have nothing to substantiate that at this point. We’ve collected all the electronic devices in the family, we’re looking through social media, interviewing her friends, interviewing her neighbors to see what occurred and if bullying was part of that.

A 10-year-old Virginia girl was excited for a trip to the local day spa with her mother recently, but the outing turned sour when salon workers mocked the cancer survivor’s appearance, the family says.
Iliana Bellard went to the Imperial Salon and Day Spa in Stafford County last week with her mother, Elizabeth Bellard, who said the trip was Iliana’s first public outing since finishing chemotherapy treatment for anaplastic large cell lymphoma,according to WJLA.

Disaster led 10-year-old Frannie of Missouri City, Texas, to something magical.
“Many people in our area had flooded homes and neighbors were helping each other but my mom said it wasn’t safe for kids to help because of the dirty water and mold,” Frannie told PEOPLE. “Then we saw the news where theHumane Society of the United States(HSUS) was going house to houses on boats, rescuing pets and animals who were left behind.

A 10-year-old boy in San Antonio, Texas, just cashed in on the best Kwanzaa gift ever.
Jaydyn’s mother, Nina Carr, toldCNNthat she bought 10 shares of GameStop for about $60 as a Kwanzaa gift for her son in 2019.
“We were always there two years ago, just buying different video games,” she explained. “I was like, ‘I can give him the shares the GameStop and give him something tangible to hold on to and that way he can appreciate it that way.
