A 72-year-old American man is reported to have fallen overboard from a cruise ship ahead of its arrival in San Francisco.

The cruise line also confirmed that they had “worked throughout the day with local authorities," to try and locate the missing passenger.
“Having ruled out other possibilities, this is being treated as a man overboard incident,” the company concluded.
Princess Cruises confirmed that “the man was traveling alone.

The U.S. State Department has confirmed that it is working with Qatari officials to return sports journalistGrant Wahl’s body back to the country.
Ned Price, the department’s spokesperson,released a statementon Twitter a day after Wahl’s death. He had been covering the FIFA World Cup in Qatar when he collapsed during a match and waspronounced deadat the age of 48.
“We were deeply saddened to learn of the death of Grant Wahl and send our condolences to his family, with whom we have been in close communication,” Price said.
