Eleven people were injured on Saturday afternoon after a restaurant deck collapsed in Soddy-Daisy, Tennessee.
More than 40 people gathered to celebrate a birthday party at the waterfront eatery Zois Harbor Lights Restaurant, overlooking Chickamauga Lake. The group huddled together on the wooden deck for a photo before it caved in under their weight and splintered.
Five ambulances and firefighters from Dallas Bay and Soddy-Daisy responded to a 911 call at around 4 p.

A total of 11 people were injured early Sunday morning following a shooting that took place near New Orleans’ French Quarter.
According to the New Orleans Police Department, officers began hearing reports of gunfire around 3:21 a.m. local time.
“Ten of the 11 total victims, two of which were reported to be in critical condition, were transported to local medical facilities for treatment,” police said, adding that “one victim was a walk-in at a local hospital.

A small skydiving plane crashed in Oahu, Hawaii, on Friday, killing all 11 passengers aboard the twin-engine aircraft, CBS Newsreports.
King Air employees and three skydiving customers were on board at the time of the crash, which caused the plane to burst into flames as it made contact with the ground near Dillingham Airfield.
The cause of the fatal plane crash remains unknown.
“#HDH update: With extreme sadness HDOT reports there were 9 souls on board the King Air twin engine plane that went down near Dillingham Airfield with no apparent survivors,” the Hawaii Department of Transportation initiallytweeted.
