An 11-year-old boy is beinghailed as a heroafter he made sure that his four siblings had safely escaped a fire that broke out inside their Tennessee home.
Brody Sims said he knew exactly what to do in the event that a fire ever broke out inside his Clarksville home, NBC affiliateWSMVreported.
“My mom and dad told us, if there was a fire, to grab everyone and run out of the house and call 911,” he recalled to the outlet.

An 11-year-old Minnesota boy sprung into action on Saturday when he realized that a little girl went under the water and wasn’t coming back up.
Everett Melling, of Arden Hills, was playing in the water at Lake Johanna over Memorial Day weekend when he saw an unresponsive 3 year old.
“Her head was under water,”Everett told KSTP. “She wasn’t moving at all.”
After he swam to her and quickly realized she wasn’t playing a game, he went to his mom, Elena Melling, to get help.

An 11-year-old Minnesota boy is being praised for pulling an unconscious 34-year-old man from a pool and saving his life in an incident police are calling “amazing.”
Advaik Nandikotkur was with his uncle and mother at an indoor pool in the family’s apartment complex on Sunday when the man wandered into the deep end and became unresponsive. Despite being in a room full of adults, Nandikotkur was the only person present who knew how to swim.

Hebert ran after the boy before turning back to administer first aid to his wife, Enriquez said in a statement. That’s when Hebert heard another gunshot.
He “saw the grandson take a few steps and then collapse to the ground,” Enriquez said. The boy had shot himself. Hebert then retrieved the gun and called 911.
The boy’s grandparents have full custody of him, Enriquez said.
Hebert told detectives that he and his wife had “asked their grandson to clean his room and pick up after himself throughout the day, as he was being stubborn about it,” Enriquez said.
