The family of four — mom Michelle, dad Jason and their kids, Jay-Fay and Jace — had just finished serving meals for the homeless in a low-income Dallas neighborhood, an annual tradition, when they headed home.They say they took every standard precaution when getting in the car: Everyone was wearing their seat belts and 12-year-old Jay-Fay was seated behind her dad, who was driving.

12-Year-Old Oklahoma Boy Killed in Hit-and-Run Crash While Sledding

Photo: Broken Arrow Police Department A 12-year-old boy was killed in a hit-and-run accident while sledding in Oklahoma on Thursday. The boy, who has not been identified, was sledding on the north side of East Albany Street in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, on Thursday evening when he slid into the road, according tothe police department. He died a few hours later at the hospital, police said. Officers are still working to identify the person who was driving the truck.

12-Year-Old Rescued After Falling Down Well During Recess When Concrete Lid ‘Partially Collapsed'

The preteen was standing on the well’s lid Tuesday “when the concrete partially collapsed” and caused the boy to fall inside, according to anews releasefrom the Marysville Fire District. First responders arrived at the scene just before 12:30 p.m. local time and found the boy “partially submerged in water” and “holding onto a plastic pipe about 20 feet” underground, the fire district said.
