A 12-year-old Wisconsin girl who was traveling home from a funeral died in a car crash last week that left her father, mother and brother hospitalized.
The Pepin County Sheriff’s Office in Durand, Wisc., said in a news release last week that Joeclynn Passon, 12, was pronounced dead at the scene of the two-car crash, which also killed the 18-year-old driver of the other vehicle.

Gabriel Clark fell in love with woodworking around age three or four when his mother handed the tot his grandfather’s hammer.
“I’ve always had a real passion for it,” Gabriel, now 12, tells PEOPLE, “and I’ve just taught myself everything I know.”
The Cumbria, England, schoolchild also has an innate wish to do good, which he put into effect this spring.

On Friday,according to HSUS, 120 adoptable dogs and cats were taken out of St. Landry Parish Animal Control and St. Martin Animal Shelter in Louisiana and put on plane to Manassas Regional Airport in Virginia, which is right outside of Washington D.C.
The animals were evacuated from these shelters because both of the facilities were in the path of tropical storm Barry. Clearing out these shelters prevented the 120 rescues from riding out the storm and its after effects and left both St.

The U.S. Marshals Service and several other law enforcement agencies located 123 missing children during a one-day sweep in Michigan.
Operation MISafeKid took place on Sept. 26 and focused on missing children in Wayne County, with an emphasis on potential sex trafficking victims,according to a press releasefrom the U.S. Marshals Service.
Detectives investigated 301 files of missing children, according to the release.
