At a news conference held on Tuesday, U.S. Coast Guard Capt. Rebecca Ore revealed that the underwater pipeline that leaked approximately 126,000 gallons of oil was split open,NBC Los Angelesand CBC Newsreported. Divers found a 13-inch gash in the 4,000-foot section of the pipeline that had been displaced nearly 100 feet off the coast, Ore shared, NBC reported.

TheYavapai County Sheriff’s Office(YCSO) wrote that a mother called the station to report that she had run over her daughter with her car.
According to the release, the mother was “parked in a gravel area next to the residence" and “maneuvering the vehicle out of a tight space” outside their residence, while also situating her child within her car seat “in an area she felt was safe.”
“While repositioning the vehicle, the front tire caught the canopy of the car seat, causing it to fall backward which led to the infant suffering critical injuries,” the statement read.

A 13-year-old Florida boy will be tried as an adult on a first-degree murder charge after the fatal stabbing of his mother, according to courtreports.
On Oct. 12, the teen allegedlycalledHialeah, Fla., police to tell them he had killed Garcia,Local 10,NBC MiamiandWSVNreported at the time, citing police.
He was arrested on the day of Garcia’s death, and booked into the Metro West Detention Center on Thursday, according to jail records.

Esra Haynes was only 13 years old when she went into cardiac arrest at a slumber party at a friend’s house.
