A teen who survived a shark attackat the end of the summer is speaking out for the first time about what went through his head the moment he was attacked in the Pacific Ocean off the coast of San Diego.
In an interview withGood Morning America‘sMichael Strahanon Thursday, 13-year-old Keane Webre-Hayes revealed that he’s “feeling great” after the injury, which required him to be airlifted to a hospital and undergo five hours of surgery and require roughly 1,000 stitches.

Instead of getting the latest video game system or meeting a celebrity, a 13-year-old boy who was diagnosed with a life-threatening illness last year has used hisMake-A-Wishopportunity to help the homeless in his community.
Adeola “Abraham” Olagbegi and his mother, Miriam, have a passion for taking care of the homeless around their neighborhood in Jackson, Mississippi.
According toWLBT, the pair have a history of provided food to the needy every month, and they recently got added help from the Make-A-Wish foundation in Mississippi after he diagnosed with a rare disease, aplastic anemia, in 2020.

The cause of 13-year-old Broadway actress Laurel Griggs’deathhas been revealed.
Griggs’ family toldThe Postthat she died on Nov. 5 in New York City, according toPage Six.
The teenager was rushed to Mount Sinai Hospital, her grandfather, David B. Rivlin, told the outlet. Doctors were unable to revive her.
“The world lost a real princess who only wanted to make the future happy for all,” Rivlin said on Sunday in a Facebookpost.

Tristyn Bailey,the 13-year-old Florida girl who was stabbed to death earlier this month, was allegedly stabbed 114 times before her death while fighting off her killer, authorities said Thursday.
The 14-year-old boy accused of killing Bailey has had his charge upped from second-degree murder to first-degree, and will be charged as an adult, 7th Judicial Circuit State Attorney R.J. Larizza said during a news conference Thursday.
PEOPLE has not yet named the suspect because he is a minor.

The cause of death forTristyn Bailey— the 13-year-old cheerleader who was found dead on Sunday, hours after she went missing in St. Johns County, Fla. — has been determined.
“We will continue to investigate this case fully and will begin transitioning this case to the State’s Attorney Office,” the sheriff’s office said in a statement.
In an interview with local news outletWJXT, Sheriff Robert Hardwick described Tristyn’s death as a “cold-blooded murder.
