13-Year-Old Utah Boy Dies After Getting 'Trapped Underneath' Sand Dune That 'Unexpectedly Collapsed'

Highsmith/Buyenlarge/Getty A teenager died after a sand dune “unexpectedly collapsed” on him at Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park over the weekend, according to authorities. The Utah teen, identified as 13-year-old Ian Spendlove of Santa Clara, became “trapped underneath the sand” around 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, Utah State Parks wrote in anews release. “Park rangers believe he had been digging a tunnel in the side of a sand dune when it unexpectedly collapsed with him inside,” authorities said, noting that the incident occurred outside of the park’s campground area.

13-Year-Old With a 'Big Heart' Is Fatally Shot During Sleepover, as Boy, 15, Pleads Guilty

Photo: Facebook A 15-year-old Illinois boy has pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter after he fatally shot a 13-year-old boy at a sleepover. In the early morning hours of May 4, police in Centralia, Illinois, received a 911 call. Officers responding to the scene found 13-year-old Jaden Krauss with a gunshot wound to the head. He died later that morning. The 15-year-old was charged, but the four other juveniles at the home were questioned and released.

130 Las Vegas Elementary School Students 'Projectile Vomiting' After Mysterious Illness Outbreak

Teachers at the Wayne N. Tanaka Elementary School in Nevada asked the ill students to line up outside the school as they repeatedly “projectile vomited” during the incident on Jan. 27, according to8 News Now. Officials with the Clark County School District (CCSD) and Southern Nevada Health District (SNHD) have not said what caused the illness but confirmed they are investigating the incident.
