Police in Alabama allege a 14-year-old boy has confessed to fatally shooting five members of his family Monday inside a home in the rural town of Elkmont.
The teen suspect’s name and those of the victims have not been released.
The Limestone County Sheriff’s Office alleges in a statement that the teen “was interviewed and confessed to shooting all five members of his family in the residence.

A 14-year-old boy has been charged with murder in connection to theDec. 11 stabbing death of Barnard College freshman Tessa Majors.
The suspect was charged with two counts of second-degree murder and several counts of robbery.
NBC New York also reported that Weaver was arraigned on Saturday afternoon and was remanded without bail. He is expected to appear in court on Feb. 19.

A 14-year-old boy died after falling from an amusement park ride on Thursday night, according to authorities.
Police arrived at the Orlando Free Fall attraction at ICON Park at 11:12 p.m. after receiving a 911 call, according to a statement from the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.
“Witnesses on scene reported that someone had fallen from the ride,” police said.

A Massachusetts teen died last week after eating a spicy chip for a social media challenge.
According to CBS News’WBZ, Harris Wolobah participated in the “one chip challenge” on Friday, a viral trend on social media that involves eating a spicy chip containing Carolina Reaper and Naga Viper peppers.

A spokesperson from Worcester Public Schools confirmed with NBC-10 Boston that Harris was feeling sick and went to the nurse’s office, was sent home and died later that day.

A 14-year-old boy nicknamed “El Chapito” has been arrested over the killing of eight people at a birthday party nearMexico City.
The incident happened when a group of armed men on motorcycles rode up to the party in the Fundidores neighborhood of Chimalhuacán on January 22.
El Chapito — whose nickname appears to be a reference to the infamousMexican drug lord Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman— and another gang member known as “El Ñoño” then opened fire on the celebration and fled, according to a statement fromMexico’s Secretary of Security and Citizen Protection.
