Two actors fromNetflix’sThe Chosen Oneare dead after a production van crashed Thursday near Mulegé, Mexico on the Baja California Sur peninsula.
The Baja California Institute of Culture (ICBC) confirms to PEOPLE that Raymundo Garduño Cruz and Juan Francisco González Aguilar, known professionally as Paco Mufote, died in the accident, which also resulted in six other injuries among the cast and crew.
Local media reported that the van ran off the road in a desert area before flipping, according to theAssociated Press.

Lisa Derderian, a public information officerfor the city of Pasadena, tells PEOPLE that the driver of the vehicle said she hit the gas instead of the brakes after the weather at the time may have distracted her, causing the Tesla to go through a retaining wall and into the pool.

An inbound Rock Island Metra train was “expressing” past West 107th Street in the Beverly neighborhood around 5:30 p.m. on Sunday when it struck an SUV and dragged it about four blocks, Metra spokesperson Michael Gillis said at apress conference.
Three people riding in the car were killed, while the train’s engineer suffered a minor leg injury, and its conductor a back injury. Three passengers also suffered minor injuries, and two were hospitalized while one declined treatment, Gillis said.

A former Maryland police officer is dead after he was allegedly involved in a suspected murder-suicide.
Maryland State Police identified Baltimore residents Robert Vicosa, 41, and Tia Bynum, 35, on Thursday as two people found in a car Thursday afternoon that matched the description of the suspect vehicle involved in multiple felonies including child abduction and carjacking.
Vicosa was an officer with the Baltimore County Police Department for 17 years,local station WGAL reported.

Two adults and two children were found dead in a home in Westchester County, New York, on Thursday, in what is reportedly suspected to be a murder-suicide.
The incident is still under investigation, according to the press release, and police are not yet releasing the names of the deceased in order to give time for their family members to be notified.
Official causes of death for the four individuals have not yet been determined, the press release said, but multiple outlets, includingWNBC,WABCandCBS2, report that the incident is a suspected murder-suicide.
