After a week of uncertainty, the bodies of two missing Arizona men have been found.
Shane Coates, 38, and Ryan Jacobs, 38, went out kayaking on the Salt River in Phoenix, Arizona on April 9 and were declaredmissingaround 10 a.m. local time that day.
Over the weekend, Phoenix police recovered two bodies from the riverbank, which are now confirmed to be Coates and Jacobs.
The next day, Jacobs' body was found and identified as the missing father and husband.

The Oklahoma City Fire Departmentsaidfirefighters responded to a “water rescue emergency” near the backside of Lake Overholser Dam after four boys went into the water while fishing in the area.
“The strong water currents pulled two boys under water while the other two safely made it to a concrete ledge,” officials said. “Firefighters rescued the two boys from the ledge and began searching for the other two victims.

When his little brother wandered out of their family’s Florida home following Hurricane Ian, Tahjon Burrowes, 17, raced to find him.
“I don’t know if one could be without the other,” their mother, Lachera Burrowes, toldNBC News. “[Tahjon] could not stand there and not jump in.”
Lachera told the outlet that Tahjir had a severe form of autism and was drawn to water. Hurricane Ian’s powerful winds knocked down a fence around their home, allowing young Tahjir to wander off while Lachera and Tahjon were not looking.

Two boys who were found dead in separate New York City rivers days apart may have been roughhousing before both entering the water, according to multiple reports.
The bodies of both Alfa Barrie, 11, and Garrett Warren, 13, were located in the days after they were reported missing last week.
On Thursday,Warren’s body was foundin the Harlem River, according toCNNandCW affiliate WPIX. Barrie’s body was found two days later in the Hudson River near the Upper West Side, CNN andNews 12 New Yorkreported.

On Christmas Day, Palm Bay, Fla., police detectives responded to a call for a dead body in a secluded area known as “The Compound,” police stated onits official Facebook page.
Around 8:30 pm, investigators discovered two deceased boys, ages 14 and 16, with gunshot wounds.
“All available resources are being dedicated to finding the motives and person(s) responsible for this crime,” police stated.
The names of the teens were withheld at the request of the boys' parents, police stated, but the family of the 14-year-old identified him as Jeremiah Brown and released a statement.
