Three men have been arrested and charged in connection with the 2006 slaying of a Florida teen they mistakenly believed was pregnant, say police.
In February 2006, the body of 16-year-old Amber Woods was found in the high grass in a remote part of State Road 62 in Hardee County, Manatee County Sheriff Rick Wells said at a press conference Monday.
The teen had been shot in the back.

Two brothers have been arrested in the Jan. 29 apparenthate attackonEmpirestarJussie Smollett, according to Chicago police.
A spokeswoman tells PEOPLE the suspects were arrested Wednesday evening but have not yet been charged. Because they have not been charged, police are withholding identifying information about them.
On Thursday, Chicago Police Department Chief Communications Officer Anthony Guglielmi said on Twitter that “detectives have identified the persons of interest in the area of the alleged attack” who were being questioned but were “not yet suspects” in the attack.

Two brothers who murdered a groom just hours after he said “I do” in 2019 have been convicted.

Three people died and four others were wounded following a mass shooting at a Nashville, Tenn., apartment on Friday.
Convicted robber Christian Akail Johnson, 29, who police identified as one of the suspects, was also shot to death.
The night after Thanksgiving, police said Johnson and another suspect — both armed — knocked on the Torbett Street apartment before entering. The events that unfolded following their entry remain under investigation, but neighbors toldWKRNthey heard the sound of rapid gunfire.

West Islip house fire
A Long Island, New York, community is coming together in the wake of a house fire that claimed the lives of two young men.
Their parents — Toni Kreamer, 53, and Joseph Dilegame, 54 — were hospitalized with serious injuries but are expected to recover, the news stations reported.
The parents were taken to Good Samaritan University Hospital, and Joseph was later transported to another facility due to the severity of his injuries, theNew York Daily Newsreported.
