2 Dead, 28 Injured in Baltimore Mass Shooting, Authorities Say

A mass shooting in Baltimore early Sunday has left two people dead and 28 injured, according to Baltimore Police. An 18-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene and a 20-year-old man was pronounced dead at the hospital after a shooting took place at a block party in celebration of the city’s Brooklyn neighborhood, the departmentshared during an early morning press conferenceon Sunday. Baltimore Police Acting Commissioner Richard Worley revealed hours later that the area is now an “extensive crime scene,” with multiple departments looking to find a motive, as he encouraged anyone with information to contact authorities.

One or more shooters fired into the residence-turned-speakeasy through the front door and window, fatally striking a 53-year-old man in the face and a 41-year-old man multiple times in the chest, according to police, who have not released the names of any of the victims.

2 Dead, 5 Hurt in San Antonio Nightclub Shooting: 'Not a Random Incident'

In a tweet posted Monday, police said the shooting was “not a random incident,” and that detectives “believe that at least one of the victims knew the suspect.” “It’s nothing more complicated than an argument that occurred inside the club with someone pulling a firearm,” San Antonio Police Chief William McManus told reporters on the scene, according to video posted on the department’s Twitter feed. On Monday afternoon police announced the arrest of the suspect, 19-year-old Kieran Christopher Williams.
